FINNAIR’S SUMMER SCHEDULE ADDS FLIGHTS TO AND FROM POLAND

(Warsaw 27.4.2010) Finnair's summer timetable adds many extra flights to existing routes, further improving connections from Warsaw to Far East Asia, among other. Finnair’s popular seasonal service  between Krakow and Helsinki was also initiated as of April.  

As of the beginning of April, Finnair operates daily flights from Helsinki to Tokyo.  As of June, flights to Nagoya and Seoul in Korea will be run six times a week during the summer period.

“With three Finnair flights from Warsaw to Helsinki almost every day, these additional flights serve Polish passengers well, further improving access to many important Asian destinations”, says Juhani Nuoramo, Finnair’s Sales Director for Poland. “From Warsaw we offer today the fastest connection to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Seoul. When one adds our flights to Beijing, Delhi and Bangkok, we serve 9 key destinations in Asia with almost 10 flights every day.”

As of April Finnair flies twice a week between Krakow and Helsinki, and two more flights a week between Warsaw and Helsinki were also added. Other summer services added to the schedule include five departures a week to Toronto and daily departures to New York. The popular seasonal destination of Bergen in Norway will re-enter the schedule on May 23rd.

Departures to Hong Kong were moved from evening to night slots as of April 21st, improving connections to and from southern China, among other. Passengers can enjoy a light dinner in the new Via Lounge at Helsinki airport before the night flight, giving them more time to rest during the flight itself.

For those passengers that have some more time on their hands, the saunas, pool and massage services of Via Spa at the new Asia terminal of the Helsinki airport provide a good opportunity to enjoy and relax in transit.
