FINNAIR OPENS DAILY ROUTE TO GDANSK AND ADDS SEASONAL FLIGHTS TO KRAKOW

(Warsaw 12.3.2015) Finnair will commence daily flights between Helsinki and Gdansk as of May 11, 2015, adding to existing services to Warsaw and Krakow and providing fast connections also between north of Poland and Asia. During the peak of the summer season, weekly flights between Helsinki and Krakow will be increased from four to six.

The service to Gdansk is sold with Finnair’s flight number and will be operated by Flybe Finland, with ATR 72-aircraft. The new destination offers improved connections between Finland and Poland, and for Polish passengers good connections to many Finnair destinations in Asia.

The route from Gdansk to Helsinki will be flown daily, with departures from Gdansk on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 09.55 and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 18.45. Flights from Helsinki to Gdansk depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 08.25 and on other days at 16.45. The flight time will be just under two hours.

Finnair will operate the seasonal route between Helsinki and Krakow four times a week from April 2 through October 22, 2015. Flights departing Krakow on Tuesdays and Thursdays will connect to Finnair's long haul flights to Asia, while evening flights on Fridays and Sundays are serving passengers travelling to Helsinki. Between June 22 and August 12 Finnair will add two more weekly flights to Krakow, one on Mondays and one on Wednesdays, raising the weekly total to six.

The service to Krakow will be operated with Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
