Readers of Rethink Quality vote Christina Lund Sorensen as Finnair’s Top Quality Hunter

(Warsaw 14.12.2010) At the end of the Quality Hunters’ journeys throughout Europe, Asia and the US, readers of Rethink Quality have chosen Christina Lund Sorensen from Denmark the Top Quality Hunter. The lucky reader winning intercontinental flight for two was Sonali Sengupta from Frankfurt am Main.

After two months, the travels of Finnair’s four Quality Hunters have come to an end. Since last September, Christina Lund Sorensen (Denmark), Ella Marshall (United Kingdom), Warren Singh-Bartlett (Lebanon) and Wolfgang Wagner (Germany) have reported their unbiased opinions on flights, airports and services to Finnair as independent advisors.

They have also shared their personal travel experiences and musings on their blogs, gaining a dedicated following at the Rethink Quality site, www.finnair.com/rethinkquality. Rethink Quality was visited by a total of 571,803 readers from 189 countries over three months.

Altogether, the Quality Hunters visited 50 cities in 23 countries. After arriving at their final stop of Helsinki last week, the four met with key Finnair executives before returning to their home countries.

“We are very satisfied with the work that the Quality Hunters have done. We at Finnair would like to thank Christina, Ella, Warren and Wolfgang for their dedication to their task,” said Antti Nieminen, Director of Marketing Innovation at Finnair. “We will continue to pay close attention to our customers’ opinions and take these into account in our service development.”

Thousands of readers have spoken and Christina Lund Sorensen, who also visited Warsaw in October during her search for quality, was named the Top Quality Hunter with over 1,300 votes. “I hope we have been able to inspire people in their way of travelling and that we’ve inspired Finnair to achieve the level of quality that they wish to be associated with,” she said. Christina shared that she would be using her prize trip to visit Japan with a friend.

Sonali Sengupta, a digital media planner from Frankfurt am Main is the lucky reader of Rethink Quality to win intercontinental flights for two with Finnair. The prize draw was open to readers who commented on the blogs or voted for their favourite Quality Hunter on Rethink Quality.

“I found the site quite interesting. Four people sharing their thoughts on different aspects provided an opportunity to see the things from another perspective,” Sengupta said. She plans to use her winning flight to visit Tokyo together with a friend.
