Finnair named Best Airline in Northern Europe for third straight year
(Warsaw 18.7.2012) Finnair was named Northern Europe’s Best Airline for the third consequtive year by the Skytrax 2012 World Airline Awards, announced on June 12th at the Farnborough International Airshow. The awards, considered the most prestigious in the global airline industry, are based on an independent survey of travellers from more than 160 countries.
The World Airline Awards are regarded as the primary benchmarking tool for airline passenger satisfaction throughout the world.
The Skytrax survey, operated over a 10 month period, covered over 200 airlines and achieved over 18.8 million interviews with passengers representing over 100 different nationalities. It analyzed customer satisfaction for the overall passenger experience, both at the airport and on board the aircraft and from check-in to boarding, seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, in-flight entertainment and service.

Earlier this year Skytrax renewed Finnair’s four star rating. It is the only airline in the Nordic countries with such a rating.
In Poland Finnair flies from Warsaw to Helsinki three times a day on most days, having the fastest connection to several Asian key destinations such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Seoul. The airline also flies between Krakow and Helsinki during the summer season.
