AMERPLAST INVESTING IN NEW PRINTING MACHINE

(Tampere 16.8.2016) In pursuit of its goal of becoming a leading pan-European packaging company, Amerplast continues with its investment program by purchasing a state of the art BOBST 20SIX CS flexographic printing machine. The machine will be installed at the company's factory in Tampere, Finland. The investment follows the 2015 installation of a modern MIRAFLEX AM printing machine at the company's Polish factory in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

The new versatile high quality 10-color printing machine, supplied by Bobst Bielefeld GmbH, will be operational in April 2017. Following the latest investment Amerplast's printing capacity will reach 580 million metres annually, enabling the company to meet growing customer demand in an efficient and flexible way.

“We are increasing printing capacity in line with customer demand and want to be an industry front runner in print quality, responsiveness to individual customer specifications as well as material efficiency. Together with last year's machine investment in Poland, we have taken a big step in meeting all these goals”, says Borge Kvamme, CEO Amerplast.

In addition to further increasing the Finnish factory's competitiveness on the European market, the latest investment provides important customer benefits. “We consider the BOBST 20SIX CS 10-color flexographic printing machine with smart gps setup technology to be an excellent addition for our product portfolio. It represents the latest technology, being engineered for outstanding print quality and operator-friendly runnability and efficiency”, says Reima Kerttula, COO Amerplast. “Our customers will benefit from extended up-time due to the 24/7 remote service and we will be able to further reduce emissions, energy consumption and waste in our printing process”, Kerttula continues.

"The Bobst SIX range machines are designed to deliver the excellent print quality that BOBST presses are known for, while also providing important productivity improvements. We are proud of Amerplast's choice of new printing machine, supporting their growth and commitment to the highest quality", says Bill Duckham, Sales & Marketing Director of Bobst Bielefeld GmbH.
